The Grundig S350 is not junk but the Sony is a better radio. The Sony costs more of course. You take to low a road in order to further discussion. What is your point when a number of people have already posted their thoughts on this receiver including myself where I wrote about what I did and did not like about the radio? -- Telamon Ventura, California You made a good point about the 350 being good, and the 7600GR being better, and I agree. And, as you pointed out, there is the price difference too. I own 1 of each, and not only is there a price difference, but there is are intrinsic differences as well. For example, I did not buy one to do the same job as the other. The Sony is a small SSB receiver, that can be taken easily if you travel. One the other hand, the 350 is the one I can grab by the handle and take outdoors, get a larger sound, be able to grab a big tuning dial and nice sized controls and display. But it would not be an ideal traveling radio. When I go on vacation, I always take along the Sony as well as a couple of other small portables, but never take the 350. I use them for different needs. I think that is a difference as well as the price. |
