Default For Owners of the Eton "E1" AM / FM Shortwave Receiver with the Optional XM Satellite Radio

For One and All,

One XM Receiver-Antenna with Two XM 'Ready' Radios
using the AudioVox CNP-1000 XM Tuner-Antenna Module
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/ETON-E...o/message/2861

For Owners of the Eton "E1" AM / FM Shortwave Receiver
with the Optional XM Satellite Radio : Who have the
External AudioVox CNP-1000 XM Receiver-Antenna Module and
an XM Satellite Radio Subscription.

XM ANTENNAS : Two Different 'types' of XM Antennas Systems :

1. The older passive XM Antenna will NOT work with
a newer "XM Ready" Radio.

2. The newer "XM Ready" Intergrated XM Receiver
and Antenna will NOT work with an older XM Radio.

The AudioVox CNP-1000 XM Receiver-Antenna Module

AN IDEA - About the Eton E1 Radio and AudioVox CNP-1000
XM Receiver-Antenna Module : Ideally we would find a
newer XM 'Ready' Radio at a very low {good} price that
will let us Plug-and-Play the XM Receiver-Antenna that
we currently have for the Eton E1 Radios into another
Radio at Home and Work or wherever. This will allow
us to use the same XM 'Ready' Antenna Subscription for
both Radios; and Save Money.

QUESTION - Does Anyone Know of such an XM 'Ready' Radio
besides the Eton E1 Radio that uses can use the
AudioVox CNP1000 XM Receiver-Antenna Module

No. For that you need Sirius.

Worldspace is the African/Asian satellite audio system. XM and Sirius
are the North American equivalents. I don't know if the equipment
interoperates, but I doubt it.

The channel that Sirius carries is World Radio Network.
