Then What Claim do any Mexicanos now have on any Lands currently in the USA ? ~ RHF Most have none. The "Aztlan" movement, limited to a few thousand, wants to build a Chicano nation divorced form both Mexico and the US. Chicanos, though, are not Mexican. |

From your posts, you don't really understand how the business of radio works. From your posts, you really don't understand that IBOC = QRM. HD uses spectrum that is not, in today's environment, generating significant listening (fringe signal listening in other words) and uses it to enhance radio stations so they may better compete in a world with alternate delivery paths and an obsession with digital sources. It is, in effect, a no-brainier trade of a few cents for many potential dollars. It's also a no brainer that IBOC = QRM. Something is only interference if it interferes which listening to something else. Since there is only a minuscule amount of interest in listening to distant signals outside their primary coverage areas, for most people there is no interference at all. |

Much improved over the BA-Recepter HD radio. Things will get cooking once they figure out how to squeeze all the necessary electronics into a radio the size of a cigarette pack. And figure out how to make the HD chip run for more than an hour on a set of batteries. That is the current problem with HD portables and why there are none! the next generation chips are in design, though. |

That is the current problem with HD portables and why there are none! the next generation chips are in design, though. I'm going to wait until a true pocket-portable unit comes out....maybe at an attractive price of say US$100.00 max? Hopefully one that uses standard AA batts and not some proprietary rechargeable thing like cell-phones. And a nice small table-top unit about the size of the Recepter HD, but at a $100 price - along the lines of the Kloss Tivoli #1. By then we'll see if this IBOC system will be the future of terrestial radio. And THEN I will pounce. And I'm sure many others will, too. Eventually, consumers won't have a choice. Every new radio will be an IBOC receiver. -- Stephanie |
