Default OK- New Scanner.

Bought last week at the Shack. It's a handheld, triple trunking 1000
channel. Pro-97. I like it. Some cool features are the amber 4 line
display, all the key's illuminate, and the audio is a pleasant surprise from
a handheld.

The frequency coverage is exactly what I wanted in a handheld, because it
covers Mil-Air, and my Pro-94 does not, so now I can listen to Mil-Air and
not have to listen to Pro-2052 base unit.

The volume & squelch control are one of top of each other and that's not so
great if you have big fingers.

It's easy to program, trunks like a champ and all in all, for the price, I'm
happy I bought it. I use my scanner a lot around here, being so close to
Wright Patt, and also to Springfield Oh, Air Guard. The scanners stay busy,
when in the summer, SWL is not at it's peak.
