Even the crappy little Kchibo receives digital:

Dear our audience, KK-DRM01, the first lot of domestic digital
broadcast receivers duly put into operation has been out into the
market. The KK-DRM01 digital frequency modulation radio maintains the
function as analog radio, for which defects such as interference,
signal decline, poor acoustics and troubles sought by broadcasting
stations, etc frequently occurring in analog broadcast can be
eliminated. In the meantime, it can also provide text information,
automatic frequency switchover or program accompanied text information,
facilitating simple and easy operation of radios. The DRM digital
broadcast system is a non-patented digital system that is the only one
in the world using long, medium and short wave broadcasts. It can use
the existing frequencies and bandwidths around the world, hence the
substantial improvement in analog AM broadcasts. Due to the fact that
this unit has relatively more functions and better reception effects,
the operations are complex accordingly. Before using this unit, please
read carefully this Operation Manual and keep it properly for later
reference.

Remember, professional reviewers rated the Eaton **** E1:

Conclusions
Many enthusiasts are waiting to hear whether or not The E1 "blows away"

the Satellit 800, or vice versa, or if it diminishes the "legend"
status of the Sony 2010. Some early owners have already made such
claims. The reality is a bit more mundane than that. The fact is that
these are all excellent radios, so the possibility that one could "blow

the other one away" is unlikely. Indeed, modern radios have so far
pushed the envelope of what is possible that only incremental
improvements are likely. Such is the case here. So if you're looking
for me to say the E1 trashes all the competition you are going to be
disappointed.

It's just too hard to believe that someone could get so wound up
about a radio. Well maybe not? I'm just waiting for the day when one
of these psychos goes completely ape**** and makes the front page
news. :)

What makes you think he actually cares about SW radio or actually
listens to one?

It's pretty clear all he cares about is Trolling someone and that he
sticks around because he gets a response.

Actually, I started out in SW back in the 1960's with a Knight Kit Star
Roamer, had
a DX-440, but now AM DX with a regular PLL receiver. Sorry, but Brian
keeps starting the ****. Oh, you are that bigot, Telamon. As soon as,
someone knocks your precious receivers, you all get personal,
insulting, and defensive. Too bad !
I think it is funny that, as soon as, a new receiver comes out, so does
the impulse buying. Doesn't matter what professional reviewers say
about the modern day cheap plastic receivers !

grundig radios
Posted by: walt
Saturday, January 28, 2006 8:55 PM

I will never buy another grundig product, they now make junk, they have
abandoned the traditional shortwave radio listener with this terrible
designed radio e-1. Leave well enough alone and improve what you have
before you go onto something else. The 800 was the standard bearor of
what a die hard shortwave radio lover wanted, big, bold, and the
beautiful. Now all this rap about it wasnt a portable, it was too big,
it was too heavy, blagh, blagh, blagh, no kidding what you saw was what
you got, big bold , and very beautiful, want something small, well it
was out there, go get it, but leave the big girl alone, I loved her and
she loved me back. Now we will never see another CLASSIC radio like the
800, because we lett Grundig (eaton) dictate what THEY want us to have,
not what we want. I will never buy another Grundig product, they have
abandoned me!

yes, it is true that imports are less likely to have the "entitlement"

breathe oxygen.

in fairness to Americans, they may have $80,000 in student loans.

dozen. And no I'm not upset stupid.

People that have a high level clearance do not talk about it. This guy
is full of it.

We would not be a dime a dozen if the USA didn't import engineers.

Telamon,

Makes no difference - you have no idea, who I am, and those with
high-level clearance are certainly not, "a dime a dozen". You EE
nerds, without clearances, can be outsourced, and ARE a "dime a dozen".
Yes, you are acting upset !

Quit blowing your horn. Your not the only one who has had high level
clearances. I've done work for AeroJet, Nasa, Halliburton, Bechtel and many
Gov agencies including the US of A. I've worked all over the globe on many
high level prodjects along with a million other people. SO WHAT!!!!

BH

You HAD nerd boy ! I bet you don't have a full-scope poly clearace !

to "whisper"

people who have high level clearances (TS compartmentalized) don't talk
about it.

in fact there are very few reasons to ever mention to anyone that you worked
for a def contractor, CIA, and so forth. bragging on Usenet about
classified stuff is bull****!
