Default New DX Show - the "Australian DX Report" on WWCR, Nashville, Tennessee

MEDIA RELEASE

A new weekly non-commercial DX program, the "AUSTRALIAN DX REPORT",
produced by the Electronic DX Press Radio Monitoring Association, in
Melbourne, Australia, has commenced on shortwave over Worldwide
Christian Radio (WWCR), Nashville, Tennessee, USA.

This new 15 minute show, produced and hosted by Bob Padula, extends
coverage of the "Radio EDXP Worldwide Broadcasting Network", with
prime-time transmission into major listening regions via 100 kW
transmitters.

The show concentrates on HF broadcasting, including schedule news,
monitoring notes from EDXP members, propagation information,
supplemented by content sourced to EDXP partners.

The first release of the show is on Sundays, at 0200-0215 UTC, on
5070 kHz.

There is a repeat on Tuesdays, at 0945-1000 UTC, on 9985 kHz.

5070 provides good signals at 0200 UTC across the Americas, at 9 pm
Central Time, and throughout Europe during the early morning. It is
also audible in Africa, the Middle East, and Western Asia.

9985 provides super-strong signals at 0945 UTC across Australia and
the Pacific (7.45 pm in Melbourne) as well as during the early
morning in the Americas (4.45 am Central Time), and into Europe, the
Middle East, and Africa.

The show is also simulcast in real-time via StreamingAudio at 0200
UTC and 0945 UTC, for Internet coverage, and can be accessed at
http://www.wwcr.com via the link titled "Listen on Line".

It's included in the WWCR Program Guide, at the above URL.

Fully detailed Radio EDXP 10th Anniversary QSLs, showing colored
scenes and wildlife in Australia, are offered for the SW
transmissions. "QSLs" are NOT issued for the Internet stream or for
reception via the Internet over PCs using remote "DX Tuners"

Reports should be sent to EDXP, 404 Mont Albert Road, Mont Albert,
Victoria 3127, Australia, and return postage is required for QSLs to
be sent via postal mail (US$1, 1 IRC, AUS$2 in mint stamps, or US$1
via PayPal). Return postage is not required for electronically
delivered reports.

There is a template at the EDXP Home Page, http://edxp.org, where
listeners may send in reception reports using a simple form, and
receive Radio EDXP E-QSLs via the internet.
