![]() From AllAccess.com NAB Asks For FM Translators For AM Stations The NAB is petitioning the FCC to allow AM stations to use FM translators to fill in coverage areas within the AM's 2 mV/m daytime contour or within 25 miles of the station's transmitter. The petition notes AM stations' reception problems from electrical interference and the pending trouble with extending Daylight Savings Time for four additional weeks starting next year, meaning stations which power down at night will experience more weeks of diminished service in drive times. |
