FM transmitter suggestions

Constant listening through headphones is no more damaging to your
hearing than the same SPL (sound pressure level) from speakers on an FM
radio (or any other source).

The problem with headphone damage is due to the fact that most people
(kids) crank the volume up so loud you'd think their ears would bleed.
That definitely causes damage! Listening on headphones at reasonable
levels does not cause damage, but it can block outside noises somewhat
(depending on the kind of headphones), so if you wish to be more mobile
than when wearing headphones, or be able to hear other sounds in the
environment, then that is the time to go with outside speakers or an FM
transmitter...



So I'm looking for an FM transmitter that I can connect to
the it that would allow me to listen to it through regular radio
speakers at a much less damaging volume. There's a whole bunch of FM
transmitters that are designed for this purpose. I tried a cheap one
from Wal-Mart that really didn't impress me. I'm tempted to buy the
CCrane FM Transmitter. It gets excellent ratings, but it costs $70, and
I can't really afford that unless it's just miles beyond its
competition.

Does anyone have any experience with any of these transmitters?

Unless you specifically are in need of transmitting to an FM radio (or
multiple radios) perhaps a set of decent computer speakers will do the
job. I've used a set of powered speakers with subwoofer on a number of
small devices with very good results.

Earphones and earbuds are extremly uncomfortable for me to use.I just do
not like to have them clamped on my ears or stuck in my ears at all.That
is why speakers were invented.
