Default Until lately this would be off topic here

I have to use google groups from time to time and dont know how to set up a
kill file for it. Any help would be GREATLY appreciated.

As always, Google is your friend:

If you are using Firefox take a look at
http://www.penney.org/ggkiller.html

If you are still using IE then look he
http://holysmoke.org/ggf/index.htm

I've not tried either of them as I use Thunderbird as my news reader.
