Well I got the Nott antenna last night but I had to fix the control box
first; Cold solder joint. Impedance at resonance with an MFJ analyzer: band Hustler Tarheel Nott 80 21 ohms 9 ohms 10 ohms 40 25 11 11 20 30 30 19 10 40 32 47 Before switching both antennas back and fourth untill I get repeated, consistent data, I think I'll mount another ball on the left side of my Durango a foot below the one on the right. That'll ensure both coil tops are the same height. I propose to match both with autoformers and do comparative field strength measurements when I get the TS-480 installed. 73 H. NQ5H |
