I live 60 miles from KDKA (1020) and tonight WBZ (1030) went HD. KDKA is gone completely. These stations can no longer call themselves blowtorches, etc. Those days are over so they can take that language out of their vocabulary. It's a sad day for the broadcast industry and I hope what listeners remain turn off in droves. And jamming its adjacents - listeners will abandon AM radio, and AM will eventually die. |

I heard KDKA from Central Ohio okay, with some WBZ buzz on it, though. Loud as WBZ was, I couldn't get the HD mode to flip on for it. -- On the internet, nobody knows you're a jerk. |
