Do a Google on 'The Four Chaplains'.
Heard the story a few weeks ago, and I know I heard it before, but did some further checking, made some calls, and found that Clark V. Poling, one of 'the four chaplains' had attended Hope College, here in Holland, Michigan. A stamp was issued in 1948 in honour of the four brave men, who sacrificed their lives, so that others might live. While doing my research, I rounded a corner, and encountered some German soldaten from WWII ! Seems as though a movie was being filmed about the holocaust. |
