River Country Debuts In Paducah

Stratemeyer Media launched Country River Country 97.5 750 WRIK Brookport
IL/97.5 W248CP Paducah KY. Featuring a mix of current and classic Country
artists, the new format positions WRIK between Bristol Broadcastings 93.3
WKYQ and Willie 102.1 WLLE. The new 250w/141m signal of W248CP was made
possible by the AM Revitalization translator waiver which brought the
former 100.3 W262BA Spencer IN to Paducah. Locally owned radio family,
Stratemeyer Media, has launched the areas newest radio station, River
Country 97.5. Officially coming on the air Saturday, March 19, 2016 River
Country 97.5 will give the Paducah area a country station that they can
call their own. River Country 97.5 will simulcast with WRIK-AM, 750, with
country music that is programmed in the Stratemeyer Media offices inside
Kentucky Oaks Mall. Mid-day host and Program Director, Reed Phillips said,
We hope to give the river region a country station that they deserve, and
will suite the tastes of the area. Were proud to call Paducah home and we
know that decisions made in other parts of the world dont necessarily make
sense in Western Kentucky and Southern Illinois. Our plan is to have an
open dialogue with our listeners on which songs and artists they enjoy and
which ones they dont. If anyone wants to stop in, youre more than welcome
to. Were pretty easy to find in the mall and we love to talk music.
Listeners of River Country 97.5 can expect to hear the voices and songs
they know from Tim, Kenny, Toby, Reba, Dolly and George. Along with newer
artists such as Zac Brown Band, Maddie Tae, Luke Bryan, Cole Swindell, and
Cassadee Pope.

Life Ministries about to close, Galaxy Communications has purchased to
intellectual property of the station and merged it into their own Classic

today as WSENs three remaining personalities were introduced by WZUN

existing Big Mike Cindy morning show, Cindy Humble will then host solo
from 10am-12pm, Diane Wade moves from WSEN middays to 12-3pm, John Carucci
will co-host with Rick Gary in afternoons from now. We had reported on the
likelihood of this simulcast in a Domain Insight report last month.
