Super simple

I have finally stepped out to HF with an IC735. I have the radio and a
power supply but no antenna. I would like to build an antenna that
is "compact" and easy to set up. Have been looking at different designs but
I think I am just confusing myself so any help to get out on the air would
be appreciated. Also would a tuner be a good suggestion?

I have a 130 tower and 10 acres of property. Any suggestions on what kind
of specs for an inverted L build?

Antenna Advise

Hello. I am interested in a purchasing a Vertical Antenna that covers
80,40,20,15,10 and 6 M bands. I live in a condo building directly on the
Ocean here in S. Florida. The building is 20 stories high, on the roof of
the building there is what is called a Mechanical Building. The Mechanical
Building is part of the elevator shaft and stores mechanical equipment such
as A/C compressors. The Condo Building Board has approved my request for
an Antenna, but there are two stipulations.....

Two Rigs, OneAntenna

Any suggestions on switches/multiplexers for this type of setup? Legal
Limit TX + RX.

Obviously more antennas are planned; so perhaps some kind kind of selector
type multiplexer is ideal. Like I could connect Rig A to Antenna A or B,
and Rig B to the other antenna, transmitting and receiving on both rigs.
(Obviously not the same antenna with two rigs at the same time.)

I have two HF rigs, one (with more to come) antenna, one linear amp (which
could just work with one rig if required, but...

902-928mhz H and V pol omni designs?

I have an oddball hobby that involves setting up a wifi mesh network at a
event a few times a year. My 2.4/5ghz routers do pretty well in most
areas, but too many hops and bandwidth goes south, and there are several
large areas isolated by trees that have poor connectivity to each other.
Last year I played with some 900mhz gear as a backhaul, and it did a good
job getting through the trees. But pointing the two flat panels at each
other in a short amount of time can be a pain, and this...

Alex Loop - Mounting on a Tripod?

Posted: 22 Feb 2017 01:52 PM PST
http://forums.qrz.com/index.php?thre...tripod.556423/

Im contemplating an Alex Loop (along with a couple of end-fed wire
antennas) to go with my new Elecraft KX3. I see that many Alex Loop users
are buying a cheap tripod upon which to mount it.

Can someone clue me in on how the antenna would mount to a tripod? Looking
at pictures, I dont see anything on the Alex Loop which would correspond to
the typical 1/4" x 20 screw that most tripod heads come with.

As a photographer, Ive got a small, light carbon-fiber tripod that I
normally carry...
