I'm not a CB'er, but I have an older model base station that was given
to me recently. It is a President "Dwight D." Hooked it up and tested it. The pots are a little dirty and noisy, but otherwise all works well except for the mechanical digital clock. Although old, it seems like a quality unit. Google search doesn't turn up much of anything on this radio. Anyone have any idea what kind of quality this radio is, and if it has any maket value (perhaps on e-bay)? Thanks. HH |

I paid 26bucks two months ago for one on ebay, sold with echo mic (cheap
one) for 75 after I tuned it and put extra channels in it. It dead keyed 4 watts and swang 18 after a 1969 final swap. 10 kc switch also installed with talkback, and it had no speaker, so I put a high quaility one in under the grid in the center rear..lights and clock were restored. It wasnt bad at all after the mods. I probaly could have gotten more if I held on to it for the right "person". I was not departing with the D104 I had on it ...it was probaly a 8 out of 10 cosmeticly, a 9 on audio output..10 on recieve... -- Those who want to be successful, will find a way, those that don't, will find an excuse! |

It did NOT "Swang" 18 watts. That is on a SSB or PEAK meter. What did it
"swing" on a Bird ? 1 or 2 watts? I thought so. Dave!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! "George Kinzer" wrote in message ...
