I own a 04 Electra Glide Classic. Want to put a CB on board. Plan on
mounting the unit in my tour pack, and hope to use my existing speakers in the front fairing as external cb speakers. Does anyone have any input on this. Don't want to take off the fairing if it won't work... Thanks, |

If so they need to be isolated from that system when used for cb and vice-versa. Amplifiers don't like to drive amplifiers and the stronger will always win ![]() Have you checked any other cycle newsgroups to see if anyone else is doing this? It seems like it would be pretty common and some manufacturer would make a "black box" to do the switching. May also want to give Eddie Runner an e-mail, he is a car audio guru who is also heavy into cb. His website is www.installer.com If you have no luck and have electronics expierience I could design one but it seems a pain to do when a simple switch and relay system is all that's needed for isolation, you just can't listen to both at the same time. You could also go with a very small audio amplifier, build a mixing network at the input and be able to listen to both at once, that would be esay and the amps can be had at flea markets, swap meets for dirt cheap.
