Specifically, Staten Island, NY. On 462.600 MHZ in the GMRS band,
there is a repeater group that calls themselves Blue Com or Blue Communications. They sound like an emergency service or response group, though usually only idle conversation is scarcely heard. Thoughout the day and night especially, the repeater sends time checks, automated call signs and the national sercurity level. They seem to have fairly wide coverage. The repeater states that it has been in service since 1997. I'm wondering if anyone has come across this group and could shed some light. Does anyone have anything on this? Thanks. |
