Default Ten Tec 1254 HF receiver kit

Hi,

I am thinking of getting a Ten Tec 1254 HF receiver kit, I would like
to know how good is it for SSB reception, PSK31 etc.

Thank You,

Kelvin

It's a fun kit to build and will teach you some things about alignment. As
DX rig, well it's not. But it is usable.

Interesting. Assuming it's assembled correctly, how would the receiver
compare to the non-kits in its price range?

Does doing the work yourself get you a better receiver than that
amount of money normally would? Or is it really all about the fun and
value of building it yourself?
