It's good for taking out heterodynes and tuner uppers..but the dsp makes voices
sound really strange and hard to understand...but its great at removing the
tones/tuner uppers/heterodynes..If you operate cw you'll use it for sure...my
ts450 doesent have any of the cw filters in it and I never felt the need to add
them..but, unlike many of the newer rigs its dsp at the af stage..not i.f. like
the newer rigs..good luck..

I just bought another vintage Autek QF-1 audio filter for my bedroom radio
and they work very well but I was also looking at the Timewave and just
curious if it would work in AM mode. The QF-1 is from the 70s and hard to
beat. If you have a older radio and want to bring it up to par filtering
wise the QF-1 and also any of the Gilfer filters ( If you can find them )
are the way to go. Actually the Gilfer filters are the best in my opinion.
Their not in business anymore.

Just another note. I learned of these filters years ago from a ham friend
who was into QRP and he used these type units. You just plug the QF-1 into
the headphone jack of your receiver and plug your headphones into the QF-1.
To easy
