ALinco Dr 590 Question (Modifications)

ALinco Dr 590 Question (Modifications)

My radio has the mods done on it. I can receive out of band according
to the display. Does this really work? I have not been able to pick
anything up but have not been trying for too long.

Also it will scan the aircraft bands and even says am on it. But I cant
hear anything. Does this have an am board on it?
