Default 6 meter antenna choice

Any one with experience with the Moxon type antenna?
I want to homebrew a pair and stack them, pointed towards
Virginia. I should stack them 1/2 wl apart, right?

Wouldn't it be easier to just use a single
higher gain yagi? I'm not sure of the gain of
a "moxon" antenna, but seems they were a
compromise reduced size, or wire X design???
Not sure...I'd have to look into moxon antennas..
I use just a single 3 el NBS yagi and get
about 9.4 dbi gain or so. "free space" MK

Thanks for the tip! I thought about the 3 el NBS and
other designs but when I found plans at Cebik's
site for a **wire** Moxon, I was sold!

http://www.cebik.com/moxon/6m.html

(near the end of the page)

One trip to the hardware sto

2x8' Sch 40 1/2" PVC to form an "X" shape
1x1' Sch 40 1-1/2" PVC to bind the X
2x hose clamps to clamp the 1-1/2" PVC to my mast
19' 14g stranded wire for the antenna itself
Electrical tape, string, solder

I had the coax, string, solder & SO-239 to connect
the antenna to the coax on hand. Total cost from the
hardware store - $11.95

Now all I need is a band opening....hihi

Might also check out address below for a moxon calculator- just
enter frequency. and it will also write .ez files, and for NEC
for the above. If you use eznec, or nec, this will allow you
to display the pattern of the antenna. It is also a downloadable
program, in .zip format. As info, Jim NN7K
