CBC radio had the Randy Bachman show on tonight, He played Johnny Cash's
version of 'Heart of Gold. A very well done rendition by one of the all time greats. ============================= "Heart of Gold" from 1972's Harvest is Neil Young's only number one hit single in his long musical career. The song, on the surface, seems to be a plea for the redemption of all-conquering love. With James Taylor and Linda Ronstadt singing backup, the song was a made for radio hit waiting to happen. And amazingly, the song continues to be among the most requested and performed in concert. http://www.thrasherswheat.org/hogneil.htm ============================== http://www.randybachman.com/index.php?choice=7 Mister Bachman is well remembered for his work in The Guess Who and Bachman Turner Overdrive. mike |
