news ![]() I was wonder why you folks are interested in short wave or what you like listening to. I'm not much into broadcasts... except maybe Radio Havanna. They're funny. I'm more into odd signals and digital modes. Radars, ship to shore, maritime fsk/sitor, anything coded. I've just gotten back to regular listening. I was languishing a bit during a down-time for my antenna (literally---it blew out of the tree). But I'm back now with about 75 feet of random wire. Listening in Southern California with an R75 and a Drake SW4A. I've always been a fan of interval signals and national anthems, especially Radio Netherlands, first national anthem I heard forty years ago when I started listening. I also like time signal stations. ---- |

Got a Kenwood TS-440 and a 40m, 20m, 10m dipole up not real high. -- rb |

I posted the North American sched about a month ago. Off the top of my head, for the West Coast, 5 and 9 PM PST on 6165, everyday. And Saturdays and Sundays 11 AM to 1 PM PST on three frequencies in the 17 and 15 MHz bands. 15315? Mark Zenier Googleproofaddress(account:mzenier provider:eskimo domain:com) |

Programming is still good; they alternate Dutch, English and Spanish. I like the Dutch reports too since I'm trying to learn a bit of it (starting with the weather reports at about 50 minutes after the hour). ---- |
