I've just sent off my first broadcast shortwave reception report for
about 25 years. I listen, but I don't usually write. This report was to AWR since the signal I was hearing was not on their schedule. What format are you now using for reception reports. Do you email or snail mail reports. Do you still use SINPO code? Any other details I should know? Thanks Brad. |

Often I check the broadcaster's website to see if they have an online form for reception reports. I have submitted online reports to Radio Taiwan Intl and Radio New Zealand Intl. I have sent email reception reports to the Voice of Russia, Radio Havana Cuba, and several other stations I can't remember right now. Finally, I have used postal mail to send reception reports to a few stations in the United States (where I live). I prefer to use SIO codes because I have not really learned how to devise a SINPO code. Aside from that, you are probably more knowledgeable than I am about writing good reports. For other readers of this thread, it's always good to name your radio receiver, any antenna that you're using, your listening location, and the source of any interference you hear, if you can track it down. Regards,

Ha! I remembered everything except to tell them my receiver and
antenna! I was unable to find anything on their website. It seemed that the only contact information was for me to contact them, preferably with cash, and they would send me a prayer. Thanks Brad. |

I've received QSL cards from Radio Sweden, Czech Republic, Radio Canada International, Osterreich 1, VOA, Deutsche Welle, Radio Havana, China Radio International, R. Serbia/Montenegro and others by submitting e-mail or web form reception reports. http://www.eibi.de.vu can link you to station addresses and show you website info if the station has an online presence. Not all of them do, and not all of them respond with a QSL card if a report is submitted online or by e-mail, but I've had pretty good luck that way. RCI is a good place to start. http://www.rcinet.ca/rci/en/rapport.shtml |

![]() "weatherall" wrote in message ... I listen to China Radio Intl occasionally and would like to get a QSL card from them. It seems like I sent them a reception report last summer or fall, but I didn't receive anything. I'll try again. -- weatherall Try this next time, it might be different than what you used before, and I got an e-mail back saying the QSL would be mailed. Report was sent June 30, QSL received July 25. I had heard the Noblejas, Spain relay but failed to request they verify the transmitter. Wish I had, just in case they would have put it on the card. |

I have just received a response from the Chief Engineer in Guam saying
that the transmission did not originate from them and that he is forwarding the letter to Europe for confirmation. Brad |
