RYAN [KC2LKS],
The Sony AN-LP1 Active Shortwave Loop Antenna requires it's own built-in {Set-of-Batteries} Battery Power to Opperate. The Radio simply supplies a small 'sensing' Voltage to only "Switch" the AN-LP1 On-and-Off; and nothing more. NOTE - This Switching Voltage from the Radio does NOT supply the needed Power to actually Power the Sony AN-LP1 Active Shortwave Loop Antenna. TESTING : # 1. Take the Batteries out of the Sony AN-LP1 Active Shortwave Loop Antenna and plug the Sony AN-LP1 Active Shortwave Loop Antenna into the Sony ICF-SW7600GR AM/FM Shortwave Radio. Turn the Radio On-and-Off and find-out for yourself. Disconnect - Un-plug the Sony AN-LP1 Active Shortwave Loop Antenna from the Sony ICF- SW7600GR AM/FM Shortwave Radio. # 2. Then put the Batteries back-in the Sony AN-LP1 Active Shortwave Loop Antenna and plug the Sony AN-LP1 Active Shortwave Loop Antenna into the Sony ICF-SW7600GR AM/FM Shortwave Radio. Again turn the Radio On-and-Off and find-out for yourself.
