This bounced as an email so.....
I am not familiar with the variations so unless I am missing something, an A would be fine. What's your price? Would you be interested in my recapped S-40B?
http://antiqueradio.org/halli02.htm A one-owner set when I bought it. It was stored in a box from 1969-1996. I went through it in 1996 and it has rarely been used since then. (Why do I keep all this stuff?) You can send me email by going to http://antiqueradio.org/contact.htm and clicking the name link. Phil Nelson Phil's Old Radios http://antiqueradio.org/index.html |

Phil Nelson Phil's Old Radios http://antiqueradio.org/index.html Phil, Would a Lafayette HE-10 be about the equivalent of the S-40? Mine is mint condition, along with my restored S-38. Your website is great! The HE-10/KT-200 was my first "ham receiver" back in the early 60s. I'd rate it one step above the S-40, but that isn't saying a whole lot ![]() That is interesting. Are both single conversion? I know that the HE-10 has IF Gain control and ANL, it is pretty sensitive and selective on the BCB. I finally located a KT-200 after a few years of searching for one to relive my novice year. Alas, the chase far out did owning one. Pete k1zjh -- "What do you mean there's no movie?" |
