Not a "call sign" but the "serial number" (for lack of a better term) of
the commercial license.

I'm not trying to be picky but just to explain some of the terms. I'm
sure Bill appreciates your research...


Below is some info I found, when looking in several sites. Other sites
included QRZ - no listing found. Social Security Death Index - doesn't
guarantee you'll find all listings. I did Herbert "H" Belcher - got a
"none found". When doing just Herbert Belcher- found quite a few.

There were quite a few Belchers in QRZ's index - about a dozen or so.
Maybe one of them could direct Bill. OR maybe the guy with the GROL is the
one. Call signs don't really mean much, as I know my ex's call sign isn't
in the system - wasn't reissued and doesn't show up in "any" listings. It
is like it disappeared!

Herbert "could" have moved. OR maybe his name just plain isn't showing in
any list for whatever reason.
