Default FS: AT-271 Military Collapsiable Antennas

AT-271 Fishing Pole Antenna. ..Miltary Collapsible Antenna [
Picture 2 ]

This portable antenna can be used for the top section of a Vertical
Antenna OR Horizontal elements for an Antenna System such as the
Buddipole tm ...... A Great QRP / Portable Antenna weighs only 400
Grams [14 Oz ] and measures 104" extended yet only 14" long when folded.
The construction is the same as is used for sectional fishing poles. Each
of the 8 hollow tubular metal sections has a plug one one end and a socket
on the other end. All the sections are connected by a string made of either
a cloth or metal cord. At the bottom of the base element there's a spring
inside the tube to tension the cord. Some units may use an elastic
shock-cord material. This way all the elements are kept in order when
they are disconnected from each other and are held together when assembled
into a 104" [8.6 Ft] long antenna. When the elements are folded or
disassembled the package is only 14 inches long.
The base has a male 3/8-24 thread which is the same as is used on most Ham
Radio and CB antennas. Some sort of spring base could be used when this
antenna is used because the hollow antenna elements will "fold" if too much
force is applied to them.
These units are in Like New Condition.. Sold AS-IS but will not be DOA.
Have access to more...ASK!

$30 USD + Shipping
