We are restoring a 1940's Petter PU8 engined searchlight generator,
110V DC 40A output. Got the engine and dynamo working today, and having already removed the control panel, took a look at the remains of the meters. Both meters are virtually scrap, having had rain inside which has rotted the guts out almost completely. We have salvaged the cases, glasses and remains of the movements, plus the scales which can be scanned for screenprinting later. Bodies are 3.50" diameter, the round flange is 4.25" with three countersunk fixing holes. Ranges are 0-150V DC and 0-50A DC. Something surface mounting with the same diameter could be used if we cannot find the right size, or movements to modify. As most radio guys are hoarders (aren't we all?) does anyone have anything suitable? Real money paid plus postage. We are in the UK, but will pay for opostage from anywhere for the right parts. Any help appreciated. reply-to is valid. |
