How can you be sure the R388 is made by Collins? Collins designed the
radio to government specifications but the receivers were built by
several different companies, including Wards Airline, Stewart-Warner,
and others, as well as Collins. Without the nomenclature plate it's a
crap-shoot.

(You are correct, there is no built-in speaker.)
