I've just finished programming several relm WHS150's, thanks in no small part
to all the people who responded to my earlier post on this NG looking for programming instructions. I have now come across one of these HT's that looks like the spitting image of a WHS150, but it is labeled "Smart Com" on the face. On the back, it says it is manufactured by JK Communications of Hong Kong (that didn't make me feel any better), and it's 32 channels. Other than those three things, it looks, acts, smells, feels, etc... just like a whs150. When I cracked the case open to flip the programming switch, lo and behold - NO SWITCH!!! Then I noticed on the top, a port for a programming cable of some sort. I cannot find anything about this company JK communications on the net, nor have I found anybody on ebay offering a "smart com" HT... Has anyone heard of this radio, and if so, do you know what it takes to progam it??? Thanks in advance! Thomas |
