FS From the estate of a local ham: Radio Shack model DX-394 General
Coverage Receiver. It covers 150 KHz through 29.9999 MHz, switch
selectable AM/CW/USB/LSB modes, with digital display, scanning, presets
for different SW bands from 120 through 11 meters, S-Meter. In the info
shown on the internet, it mentions a removable 26" rod antenna, but one
was not included with this radio. A recommended telescoping whip number
that I found on the 'net was a Radio Shack part # 10538270 - "Antenna,
Telescopic 5 A0123".

It has several different timers, 160 memories, a noise blanker, direct
keypad frequency entry, RF and AF gain controls.

It has a built-in 117V AC power supply, or will run directly on 13.8V DC
power. There is a built-in speaker, and a jack for an external speaker
and a headphones jack. A tape recorder jack is on the rear apron.

There are numerous web pages of info, modifications, and a Yahoo! user
mailing list for the fans of the DX-394 Receiver. This receiver is in
very nice condition, and I listened to it last night on AM broadcast, SW
foreign broadcast, SSB and CW on 80/40/20 meters. $135 plus shipping
(it's not heavy).
