Default FS: Realistic HTX-100 10-Meter Transceiver

FS: Realistic (Radio Shack) model HTX-100 10-Meter Transceiver. It
covers the entire 10-Meter ham band, SSB and CW modes, has digital
readout, memories, dual VFOs. It is in very good condition and works
well. Do a search on your favorite search engine to see sites on the
internet for modifications applicable to this rig - it's popular as a
radio to use with a transverter for VHF bands like 6 and 2 Meters.

Included is the original up/down microphone, mobile mounting bracket,
power cord and manual. $50 plus shipping from Oregon.

hi, has the radio been modified in any way? hows the display screen? is it bright with no defects? if the screen has defects does it interfere with the display? im a technician licensed ham radio operator, KI4ZDH, so i am legal to use it. want to get my feet wet, so to speak with a radio like this and then go for general license later. are the transverters for 6 and 2 meter hard to find? thanks, ron.
