Hi, last night on the Court TV network during their "Forensic Files" episode
they showed the case of Madison Rutherford who staged his own death in Mexico in a bazaar car crash scheme. If you saw this, you know the story. Anyway, I know this guy and I had done work for him at his house. Also knew his wife. I knew him for a few years, but never knew the guy was a ham. He never mentioned to me that he was. I found out when I was doing a search on QRZ.COM and his named popped up. Lately I have read that the FCC may revoke the license of hams if they are convicted of crimes. Does anyone think that his crime would be fitting for the revocation of his ham license? He is now in jail but should be out in a year or so. He was sentenced to 5 years in jail for "Fraud". He had a total of 7 million dollars of life insurance and his wife tried to collect it upon his "staged death". he was later nabbed in Boston. His callsign was KA1SQO. 73 Lou |
