The biggest difference is that the AL80B has some circuitry that biases the
tube off during periods when there is no drive. That means a lot less heat out of the thing in standby. I've had both and I'd buy the AL80A just because it has nicer meters and you can get a better price on one! "Reg1647" wrote in message ...
