Icom IC-736 problem

I have an Icom 736 that ,when turned on it begins to scan, won`t stop..
it is not a stuck button,not a short in wiring..it is scanning on any
band ,everything else is OK.Anyone heard of this problem?Is it a common
problem with this unit? Problem seems to be in control board..thanks
