Default Help: Kantronics UTU

Any one out there own a Kantronics UTU?

I picked one up and can't seem to get it to work.
I have tried setting the com ports on the computer to 9600 and all the way
to 300
and at 8N1. Having no luck at all. Don't know if it's software related or
what.

What software? What com port settings?

Thanks for any help.

I think you can reset it to factory defaults by opening it up and
shorting a certain jumper during power up.

An easier way to figure out the COM port speed it to set your PC to a
certain rate, then power up the unit. Look for the welcome header.
If you get gibberish, at least it's sending you something. If you get
nothing (try a few speeds) then you might have a defective unit.

I owned one of these years ago but sold it after I bought a KAM. I do
not have a manual, but someone here might.

Good luck.
B.
