Default F.A. Newly Calibrated Motorola R2600C / CBS Service Monitor

http://cgi.ebay.com/ws/eBayISAPI.dll...tem=7524418587

This is a newly calibrated and completely checked out Motorola R2600C
/ CBS service monitor. All check outs and calibration was performed
directly by the Motorola Equipment Service Team on June 15, 2005 to
traceable NIST standards. No calibration required until 6/2006. This
is not an A or a B model like you normally see here. It doesn't get
any better than this!

If you need to calibrate, maintain, service or design radio
communications equipment – and that means everything from two-way
radios, cellular telephones or pagers – the Motorola R-2600 is for
you. Because of its unique design, the R-2600C allows you to perform
many complex functions from the same piece of equipment. This “one
box” design is particularly helpful in remote sites where use of
multiple pieces of heavy equipment are impractical – or impossible.

Featuring user-programmable storage locations for fast, easy access to
the most frequently used channel information, the Motorola R-2600C
gives users the flexibility to create customized test set-ups. It also
provides digitized displays for storage and printout, “soft keys” and
windowing for ease of operation, autoranging capabilities with both
analog/digital readouts and signaling encoding/decoding functions.

This unit has been used very little and mainly on the test bench
instead of in the field. It has a great "feel", and all the controls
are clean, tight and just like new. The 2600s are very intuitive units
and are fun and easy to operate. This service monitors off air
receiver is highly sensitive and has sharp clear hi-fidelity audio.
The displays and full range spectrum analyzer have screen expand
capability. The scope is bright, dead sharp and totally clear (the
blurriness in the picture is my hand shaking). This chassis has the
graphics printout option installed. Another point in favor of this
model is the fact that the receiver audio is active in the spectrum
analyzer mode - something many other monitors simply cannot do.

Additionally, this unit comes with the RLN4486 and the RLN4329
expansion slices (These are the LPA Test Option for CBS and the IEEE
488.2 options respectfully).

What's so special about the R2600 C / CBS. First, it has ALL of the
features of the normal R2600C for land mobile and two-way radio, plus
additional two-way features like a high stability time base, IEEE
488.2, tracking generator & more. See:

http://www.motorola.com.cn/cgiss/sol...2600/2600.html

For cellular it can test subscriber units for the common formats of:

-AMPS
-EAMPS
-NAMPS
-TACS
-ETACS
-JTACS
-NTACS

Additionally, this unit is a "CBS" which means it can test cellular
base stations. In fact it is the only service monitor capable of
automatically testing a Motorola cellular base station. Why is this
important? Since Motorola sold their test equipment division to
General Dynamics, this option has been removed from the market for
reasons that are not entirely clear. When it was available, this unit
sold for over $43,000. You can still get R2600s starting at about
$13,000 to $17,000, plus the cost of options, but no CBS. For anyone
wanting to service and maintain a Motorola cell site this is a must
have!

Additionally, the R2600C/CBS is exceptionally stable and accurate in
the 800-900 MHz range. This is important not only for cellular, but
also for everyone who is facing rebanding with Nextel in the next 18
months!

This unit has the LPA Test Option Slice option.

LAND MOBILE FUNCTIONS

-Spectrum Analyzer
-Tracking Generator
-Sweep Generator
-Duplex
-Terminated Wattmeter
-Programmable Test Memory
-Signal Strength Meter
-RF Scan/RF Counter Function
-Signaling Simulator: Encoder and Decoder
-General Purpose & Modulation Oscilloscope
-AM/FM Signal Generator
-Off-the-Air Sensitive Receiver
-Graphic Screen Print and Self-Calibration
-RS-232/Serial Printer Interface
-C-Message Filter /600 Ohm DVM Input -
-CCITT Filter /600 Ohm DVM Input
-IEEE 488
-Cable Fault
-Digital Voltmeter
-High Stability Time Base
-Frequency Counter
-Sinad/Distortion Meter
-Tone Sequence Decode
-Cellular Option

When the “Cellular Option” is installed, the R-2600 tests cellular
personal, portable, transportable and mobile radiotelephones by
simulating fixed end (cell-site) signaling. The R-2600C/CBS is capable
of testing in several formats: AMPS, EAMPS, NAMPS, TACS, ETACS, JTACS
and NTACS.

Additionally, with the “Cellular Option,” the Motorola R-2600C/CBS
features a cellular AUTO TEST that allows the user to push one key to
activate a powerful and efficient go/no-go test of the subscriber
radio.

Versatile & Rugged

The R-2600C is rugged enough to withstand heavy use in the field. And
it’s designed to save you time and help you work more efficiently,
which improves your profit.

The Motorola R-2600C. Whether used in your shop, at your customers’
site or in a remote location, it’s the test you can trust.

This unit is truly a rare find with current calibration. Also, this
unit is a "C" version, not an A or a B. R2600A and R2600B units are
selling for $4500 - 7000 without the C options and no tracking
generator, cable fault or any of the hard to get cellular options.
