Default Hallicrafters SR-500 Tornado For Sale

Guys,
I have a Hallicrafters SR-500 Tornado tribander for sale.
It covers 80, 40, and 20 Meters.
I am the second owner, and other than repainting the cabinets and
replacing the finals, (when I tried to remove the plate connectors,
one of the tubes cracked) :-( , it has needed nothing.
The front panels are near perfect. I have pictures which
I will send to anyone who wants them.
The rig is easily a 9 out of 10
I was lucky enough to find some Tungsol 8236s,
which were surplussed from a high-power lab.
These tubes are "Unobtainium" and very expensive when you can find them.
They are graphite plate and I see 220 Watts continuous out on my watt meter.
When I was using the rig frequently, It was pretty stable after warm-up,
but it has been on the self for 2-3 years and when I got it down
and hooked it up I discovered it had become "drifty" Not a lot but
enough to be irritating.
It may be it needs the tube pins and switches cleaned or a new Osc.or VR
tube.
I will leave that for the new owner.
I am asking $750.00, which includes an extra pair of NOS 8236s, Plus
shipping from Stockton, Ca. 95203
73,
Chuck
