The same thing happened on the UK CB group, where someone used
a nicname and an Amateur started whining about using an Amateur
callsign which was not their's.

What they fail to realise is that Amateur callsigns have no meaning
outside of Amateur radio - their sole use of that series of letters
and
numbers only relates to use on Amateur radio.

Also, they are not the only use of a series of letters and numbers.
Not
all such strings are Ham callsigns - specially on a CB newsgroup.

Regards,

Peter.
