WA3MOJ This post proves what? that i left a call sign at the end of a post, so you take it upon yourself to annoint me wa3moj... roflmao.....Hook line and sinker. Right on brutha! See where some guy was bootlegging a ham call in here and Brainlesssbluster argued that ham callsigns have no meaning in rec.radio.cb.......and all the keyclowns were quick to agree with him: From: Brainbuster ) Subject: Re; great radio sites * Newsgroups: rec.radio.cb Date: 2003-12-17 22:15:44 The same thing happened on the UK CB group, where someone used a nicname and an Amateur started whining about using an Amateur callsign which was not their's. What they fail to realise is that Amateur callsigns have no meaning outside of Amateur radio - their sole use of that series of letters and numbers only relates to use on Amateur radio. Also, they are not the only use of a series of letters and numbers. Not all such strings are Ham callsigns - specially on a CB newsgroup. Regards, Peter. =============================== |
