Looks like your going to need to upgrade to a ASTRO digital scanner like
the PRO 96!
Check out http://strongsignals.net/access/boards/pro-96/board.cgi

BEFORE YOU BUY any of the digital radios DOWN LOAD the MANUAL! Read it
over
to see if it wall fit your needs. When the radio arrives you have a head
start and will be able to program it.
Owning a PRO-91 will make the learning curve faster than some one who has
never programmed
a trunking scanner. I have a PRO -90 and the Uniden BC 250D with the
BCi25D Digital APCO P-25 card. Get the computer cable and after market
software to program the radio!
Look here http://www.strongsignals.net/access/content/software.html
While your at strong signals check out the other boards too !
When your receiving talk groups do they have a loud buzz sound to them?
That would be ASTRO voice! Find out if they are encrypted, if so you may
want to reconsider a digital scanner and stick with the PRO-91.
When doing a trunk search for talk groups with the PRO-91 do any analog
voice talk groups show up? If its trunk tracking then you got it right
it's just digital!
Nashua NH went to a ASTRO P-25/ mixed Type II analog system several years
ago . Once the
BC 250 D came out it was easy to hear them. The Police and Fire are
digital but not encrypted!

Any advice would be appreciated.
I own a Radio Shack 150 channel 800 MHz trunking Scanner (PRO-91) and
am having trouble accessing the new Philadelphia trunked frequencies.
I've been using this scanner to access Montgomery County
(Pennsylvania) trunked frequencies for about 5 years, so I know that
the scanner works properly. Although I live in Montgomery County, I
should have no problem accessing these signals. I live only about 4
miles from the city limits and had traditionally been able to retrieve
Philadelphia signals in the pre-trunked days. Also, my scanner is
defaulted to Type II. I assume that Philadelphia uses a Type II
system.
I entered the new frequencies and set it up for trunked access. I've
set the squelch properly and I believe that I've used the proper
frequencies. I don't receive any signals, however I occasionally
display channel numbers (with no sound) (e.g. 3824, 464, etc.)
Here are the frequencies that I've entered (I found them from some
website):
868.8375 868.8125 868.7875 868.5875 868.2875 868.0875 868.0625
867.8625 867.5875 867.5625 867.0875 867.0625 866.8375 866.3625
866.2875
This is the order that I entered the frequencies.
Am I doing anything wrong? Thanks.
