There's no reason to use Netscape, either. They've neutered the anti-
popup features and a few others to make it more palatable to AOL. Use
the real Mozilla or Firebird instead.


I think you might be a few versions behind. The last few builds of
Netscape (from 7.01 IIRC) have had full functionality if the popup
manager restored. In previous versions it could be done quite easily by
adding a line to prefs.js, but now it's back in the GUI (Edit |
Preferences).

What's more, Netscape 7.2 has a *very* effective junk-mail manager. It's
already quite good "out of the box," but actually learns from
experience; if it marks a message incorrectly and you change it, the
program remembers for next time.

It was a real life-saver on the recent spate of sobig.f virus emails.
