Prince Bandar Assists Bush in re election bid

Last night on CBS's 60 Minutes, Bob Woodward, senior editor at the

Washington
Post, said Saudi Arabian Prince Bandar pledged to increase Saudi oil

production
and thereby lower gas prices just before the 2004 election.
Is this payback for the Bush " Hands Off The Saudis" approach to

terrorists??

This pledge has cost U.S. consumers literally billions of dollars in

higher gas
prices.
- But HEY !! " W " wins in November, So Screw YOU

Some people will believe anything, no matter how ridiculous.

One would think that Kerry (of all people), as a federal representative
and north-eastern resident, would have noticed somewhere over the past few
decades that the gas prices have followed a cyclic pattern each year. They
rise in the spring (the holiday/driving season begins) and drop in the
fall (the holiday/driving season ends).

Is it possible he doesn't understand/believe in our supply & demand
economy? I doubt it. Is it possible that he jumped on a negative campaign
item without thinking about it? Is there no one in Kerry's campaign that
would have the presence of mind to mention, "Uh, Boss? That price drop
happens every year like clock-work, for both repub and dems - and it will
undoubtedly happen if you get elected"...

Kerry is prone to knee-jerk reactions as evidenced by his history of flip-
flops. I wonder when he will realize this claim is laughable and retract
his veiled condemnation. It will be interesting to watch him wear his
"contempt" mask as he attempts to spin a historical economic cycle as
insidiousness on the part of Bush... Without looking like an idiot...

Kerry's a smart guy - He just has no control over his penchant for
slinging dirt.

This time the oil prices started to go up well before spring, when they
should have been at their lowest. Prince Bandar doesn't deny what
Woodward says. However he (Bandar) did say that Saudi Arabia has
historically tried to lower oil prices before a presidential election to
get the incumbent reelected.
