Most of the big names in domestic SW use it as a fill in to their local
network coverage. It would make sense for Air America to do the same, but
they prefer satellite, maybe because one of their executives has expirence
working with Dish network.

I think SW would work for AA's intended audience, just as it works for the
other political talk show hosts. It could even boost satellite receiver
sales, as they could broadcast their programming to a national audience and
promise clearer and more reliable reception from a satellite service.
