be sure to put aside about $150 to upgrade the R75 to make it a real
nice receiver. otherwise you are wasting your money. it has some
serious holes that need to be plugged.

also be sure to get a used one for than $400, that will help you stay
in budget, a new one will take all your money with none left over for
the required upgrades.


Guy Atkins did an excellent job upgrading his R75 although for the
average person, they are not all required. I have worked with a
properly modded 75 and can tell you what it needs in your price range.
I DO NOT suggest you do all the mods yourself unless you are VERY good
with surface mount work.
