It's been my experience that used transceivers which are still in
production maintain a high percentage of their selling price, and then
only begin to fall after the model is discontinued. If you want a
current model, and the G707A is a nice radio, pay the few extra dollars
and get a new one,in the box, with a warranty. You sound like the type
of guy who wants to buy a top quality rig at bottom dollar, and I can't
fault you for it, but buying a low priced current model usually invites
problems from someone who mistreated it or powered it once from 240 volts.
