Nope, wasn't/isn't in Pottsville. The last contact the company gave those
in waiting was the tower was damaged in shipping, and a new one to arrive
last week. Last week came and went. Still no contact. They have been keeping
the agency in the dark. The agency has had to make the majority of the
calls. The one call made by the company was to "return" a call. The
spokesman for the agency was told the other day to call them back and tell
them if the tower wasn't delivered this week, another company will be sought
for that and all other work in the future. One other company was contacted
in the mean time and said they could have had a tower in 5 days delivered by
their supplier - who was contacted to verify quick shipment, as there were
NO shipping problems or delays EVEN with the hurricanes and such as was
thought "may" have been the case. So, we'll see now how things progress.
Sounds like this 2 way radio company may have just lost some business. Being
one of 3 in the area, that doesn't bode well for them. The other 2 have
pretty decent reputations. This one "had" one, but I think it just went down
the tubes, at least with this agency. Not sure how they treat their other
customers. And I will go one more step to say, it isn't that this agency
can't afford to pay, they can. The agency has done thousands of dollars of
business with this company in the past. So, the fault falls back on the
company. They've apparently dropped the ball. I have to wonder if the
statement of the tower being damaged in shipment was just an excuse to buy
time - in that they may have forgot to order, financially unable to, OR just
plain DIDN'T for whatever other reason. All they've offered were EXCUSES.
This week, a few days, We don't know, etc. What a crock.

If one were to order a tower, lets say 40' for use in a 2 way radio
situation, how long should it take from the time you place the order to
the
time you get it? I know a place who's tower blew over (it was old too)
and
a
replacement was ordered the same week. Almost a month later, they're
still
waiting for the 2 way radio company to deliver and replace. This is a
public
service agency which depends on their communications. Seems odd, the
company
doing the work seems to be putting them off. Or is it whoever they're
ordering from, sucks with supplying? Just curious.
