Here in the US I was taught that you write all dates as Month/Day/Year.

BOG is our regular VK pedant who unfortunately expects all others to confirm
to the "proper" form of English. Bit of a laugh really, given all of his
screwups - guess the comment about rocks and glass houses is appropriate for
