Well, marajuana might well be a "peacefull drug".
But the crazies who grow it are more into the cold
hard cash then any heallthy effects. I have stumbled across
a few weed patches while hiking in eastern KY. From the
fish hooks on monofiliment at eye level to the bear trap,
which I took with me, it is clear they are anything but "peace
luvin" hippies. It is no surpise to me that the police go in with
full combat gear when tackling a growing operation.
And the thoughts of an illegal, like there any legal ones, meth
lab gives me the willies. About a year ago some idiots had
a leak in their mobile meth lab on I75 south of the Berea exit.
They got 3rd degree chemical burns, the police got to test
their new chemical suits and I75 was closed for over 5 hours.
I just can't wait until some winner has an anhydrous amonia leak
in a residential area.

The interesting thing with the RCMP bust was that they'd already gone in
with the gear, and these guys were just guarding the place after. The
grower, who wasn't home when they raided, came back with a sniper rifle and
shot them. They ought to do this US style, just call in the tanks and raze
the place next time. They did call them in, but it was after the guys were
shot.

Well, this just set back the cause of weed legalization in Canada. Any
harsh drug laws the (minority) governing liberals want will surely be
supported by the Conservative party, ensuring passage.
